DOD Invests $40 Million to Establish Research Centers of Excellence at Minority-serving Institutions

The Department of Defense announced the establishment of four new research centers of excellence at minority-serving institutions of higher education, as part of its Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority-serving Institutions Research and Education Program.

FY24 MURI Funding Opportunities Now Available!

For more than 30 years, the prestigious MURI program has been supporting teams of researchers from diverse disciplines to collaborate on investigating basic research questions of critical import to the DoD. Teams are awarded up to $7.5 M over five years to conduct their research. MURI awardees have gone on to create companies, establish new fields of inquiry, and lay the groundwork for some of the DoD’s most cutting-edge technologies.
