SECAF, DoD Officials Announce HBCU University Affiliated Research Center Initiative

Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall III, Heidi Shyu, undersecretary of defense for research and engineering and William A. LaPlante, undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment, announce a University Affiliated Research Center initiative with Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

DoD launches two Centers of Excellence at Tuskegee University and Howard University

On January 27 & 28, the Department of Defense (DoD), through the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, launched two Centers of Excellence (COEs) at Tuskegee University and Howard University in defense research priority areas.
