Each year, the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) inducts a select group of scientists and engineers into their College of Fellows for significant contributions to medical and biological engineering. Dr. Jennifer Lewis was inducted into this year’s College of Fellows for her pioneering work in materials science and biomanufacturing.
Dr. Lewis is also a 2016 Vannevar Bush Fellow pursing research into programmable architected materials that heterogeneously integrate functional, structural, and biological building blocks in novel geometric layouts. She is currently the Hansjorg Wyss Professor of Biologically Inspired Engineering at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and a Core Faculty Member of the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering.
